What is the Librarium?
The Librarium is Earthum’s central knowledge hub. It is not an encyclopaedia
in the strict sense, nor is it a shop area, but rather an open library: a place
where topics are not merely listed, but placed within a broader context.
This is where the various paths of Earthum converge. Nature, rituals, the stars, oracles, consciousness,
health, family and traditional worldviews do not appear as separate islands, but as interconnected
spaces. A theme may belong to one main group whilst at the same time forming links to other areas.
Whilst the Lexicon helps you to quickly understand individual terms, the Librarium encourages you to read at a more leisurely pace.
It not only explains what a word means, but also why a topic is important,
where it comes from, how it can be categorised, and what avenues it opens up.
Librarium publications are therefore intended to provide guidance and in-depth insight.
They give you enough knowledge to grasp a topic without covering it in full. For detailed
practical application, larger systems and comprehensive treatments, the products will guide you further on.
You can explore the Librarium just as you would a library: not with the expectation
of reading everything at once, but with the freedom to follow a topic, discover
connections and, step by step, delve deeper into the world of Earthum.
Making the Most of Librarium
The Librarium is designed in such a way that you can both find your way around easily and move about freely.
It does not follow a strict reading order, but instead offers various approaches: via main
groups, via thematic areas, via individual texts, and via connections that emerge as one reads.
It usually starts with a main group such as Elmento, Ritualis, Arkanum, Noetika, Vivaria or Zookido.
Each of these groups has its own atmosphere, its own focus and its own collection of topics.

The relevant content appears on the right. When you select a main heading, several relevant Librarium
articles may appear together. When you select a specific topic, the individual text relating to it opens.
This way, you can either get an overview of an entire thematic section or focus on a specific typeface.
The Librarium does not have to be read in a linear fashion. It can be used as a quiet space for learning: open it,
read, return, move on. Over time, the individual texts come together to form a broader picture of Earthum.
Groups & Subject Areas
Earthum is divided into main groups. These form the major thematic areas of the
platform: Elmento, Ritualis, Arkanum, Noetika, Vivaria and Zookido. Each group offers
its own perspective on nature, practice, symbolism, consciousness, everyday life or family.
Within these groups lie thematic areas. They further organise the content and highlight
the different strands contained within a main group. Elmento, for example, is divided into
Naturalia, Mythicum and Aisthesia. Ritualis covers ritual practice, the annual cycle and
life cycles. Arkanum brings together astrology, oracles, Hermeticism and alchemy.
This structure is not intended to be a rigid system. It helps to provide a clear overview of a
broad subject area without losing its vitality. Much of the content touches on more than
one area: a stone might appear in the ‘Elemento’ section, but it may also take on significance in a ritual.
A lunar theme can form part of Ritualis whilst at the same time opening an astrological bridge to the Arcana.
The Librarium highlights such connections without mixing everything together.
Every text has its place, but it may also refer to neighbouring spaces. In this way, an
organised network of themes emerges, rather than a loose collection of individual texts.
The groups and subject areas therefore serve as a guide. They show where a piece of content
belongs, the context in which it fits, and what further avenues may open up from there.
Browse, Search, Find
In the Librarium, there are various ways to read. Sometimes you search
specifically for a topic; other times, you simply follow a thread.
Both are part of the concept of a library: finding what you’re looking for and quiet discovery.
If you already know what you’re looking for, the main categories, subject areas and
sub-sections will take you straight to the relevant section. This allows you to quickly see
whether a topic belongs more to Elmento, Ritualis, Arkanum, Noetika, Vivaria or Zookido.

Searching in the Librarium is different from a quick look up in the Lexicon.
In the Lexicon, the focus is on individual terms. In the Librarium,
the emphasis is more on context, origin, meaning and classification.
This creates a peaceful reading experience: find, read, put away, move on.
Not everything needs to be explored in depth straight away. Often, reading a text for the first time is enough to
gain a clearer understanding of a topic and decide whether you’d like to explore it further later on.
Lexicon. Librarium. Mercaria.
Lexicon, Librarium and Mercaria fulfil different roles within Earthum.
Together, they form a path leading from rapid comprehension,
through in-depth analysis, to fully developed content and products.
The Lexicon is the place to find definitions. It provides brief explanations of words,
symbols, methods, names and key concepts. It helps you to look something
up quickly, clarify a meaning or get a basic understanding of a topic.
The Librarium goes further. Here, topics are not merely defined, but placed in context.
A Librarium entry can explain why a term is important, which group it belongs to,
which traditions or practices it relates to, and what further avenues it opens up.
Mercaria is Earthum’s shop and publishing division. This is where the finished products
are showcased: digital typefaces, freebies, editions, maps, print products and future releases.
Mercaria is therefore not just a place of sale, but also the space where themes are transformed into works of art.
The three sections are deliberately kept separate. The Lexicon provides concise explanations. The Librarium organises the material.
Mercaria provides links to products and publications. Together, this creates a clear
structure: understanding terms, deepening knowledge, discovering relevant works.
Myths of Nature & the Elements
The path of nature, myths and the elements leads into the world of Elmento.
Here, Earthum begins with earth, water, fire, air and ether, but also with plants,
stones, animals, landscapes, seasons and ancient tales about the living world.
This approach links the visible with the symbolic. A tree is not just a tree, a stone
is not just a mineral, and a scent is not just a pleasant smell. In many traditions, natural forms
have been understood as carriers of meaning: as signs, companions, mirrors or reminders of wider contexts.
Elmento brings together such approaches without fixing them in place. Knowledge of nature, mythology, sensory perception
and traditional imagery are allowed to coexist. The aim is not to prescribe a single interpretation,
but to open up a space in which nature can once again be perceived more consciously.
In the Librarium, this path emerges where plants, minerals, elements, mythical creatures, the realms of the gods,
animal symbolism, ancestors, spirits, colours, scents, sounds and atmosphere come together. The result
is not a self-contained body of doctrine, but a quiet archive of connections to nature.
Rituals & the Cycle of the Year
The path of rituals and the cycle of the year is part of Ritualis.
It leads to conscious actions, recurring rhythms and those
moments when everyday life pauses briefly and takes on meaning.
Rituals don’t have to be grand, complicated or mysterious.
They often begin with a simple gesture: a light, a word,
a threshold, a thank you, a deliberate beginning or ending.
It is only through mindfulness that it becomes more than just an action.
The cycle of the year broadens this perspective. It reminds us that life does
not consist solely of linear progress, but of recurrence: light and darkness,
growth and retreat, beginning and harvest, farewell and new beginnings. In Ritualis,
such rhythms are not seen as rigid rules, but as a guide through the course of the year.
In the Librarium, this path explores topics such as the structure of rituals, everyday rituals, purification, protection,
intention, altars, sigils, annual festivals, phases of the moon, the Twelve Days of Christmas and life transitions.
The texts provide an overview before later products delve deeper into specific processes and systems.
Stars • Oracle • Alchemy
The path of astrology and oracles leads to Arkanum. Here, various
systems that work with signs, temporal qualities, symbols and inner interpretation
come together: Astrology, Cards, Oracles, Hermeticism, Alchemy and Archetypal Images.
Arkanum does not regard such systems as mere forecasting tools.
The focus is on orientation. Stars, maps and symbols can help us
to look at questions from a different perspective, recognise
patterns and make more conscious sense of internal.
Astrology offers insights into time, character, cycles and relationships.
Oracles and cards work with images, questions and interpretation.
Hermeticism and alchemy delve deeper into principles, transformation,
polarities and the symbolic language of inner development.
The Librarium keeps this area quiet and tidy.
It explains concepts, classifies systems and highlights differences,
without losing the subject’s mysterious character. Arkanum thus
remains a space for understanding symbols, not for blind assertions.
